OUR PROCESS

We have designed a simple process that helps you (and us) make an educated and informed decision about working together. You will finish this process knowing exactly where you stand in three key areas of retirement success.


For people who are a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation from chatting with us about working together.

You will know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single penny.


Step 1 - Initial Phone Meeting

A quick 15-minute phone call will give us both a chance to make sure our expertise matches your needs. 

If we aren't the right financial planning firm to help you, we will happily point you to an appropriate firm that's better suited to your needs.

Step 2 – Discovery Meeting

Like a doctor, it's important to diagnose before we prescribe.


The goal of this meeting is to get perfectly clear on your goals, concerns and unique financial situation.


Your answers to our questions, along with the documents we requested you bring, will guide our analysis, which will result in plain-English answers to three critical questions.

Step 3 - Our Analysis

We will apply over 20 years of experience, decades of Nobel-prize wining research, and thousands of hours of training to answer three critical questions for you:


  1. Are you on track to reach your long-term goals (e.g. retirement, or work-optional living)?
  2. How can your tax bill be reduced?
  3. How can your investments be improved?

Step 4 -  Second Meeting 

This is where the proverbial rubber hits the road


During this meeting we will explain, in plain English, exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals, including the answers to the three questions we asked during our analysis.


This is where you will see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your finances.


At the end of this meeting we will ask if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you would like to sleep on it.

Step 5 - Sleep On It

We have been in business for more than 20 years. We don't rush clients to make a decision about working with us. Prior to deciding if we should work together, we will encourage you to "go home and sleep on it."


We want you to answer the following questions for yourself:

  • Do I like/trust/respect the team at Sherrill Wealth Management?
  • Will the benefits and value they provide exceed their cost?
  • Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
  • Did they answer all of my questions clearly and thoroughly?


We will call you the next day to follow up and answer any additional questions you may have.

If we decide it is a good fit, we will prepare our paperwork, and begin the financial planning process!

If you decide we are not a good fit, we will wish you all the best!  We are not a hard sell and do not pressure clients!

Step 6 - Get Started

During this meeting we will answer any questions you have and if you are ready, start the paperwork to become a client.  


Prior to this meeting we will have sent you a detailed explanation of this process and answered all of your questions and concerns.
